What materials should I prepare?
1.
Application form
Each university has an application form. Related to the
university policies. Applicants may fill the online version or the hardcopy.
2.
Statement
of Purpose
SOP is perhaps the
most important thing in your application. It's hard for students to
understand the importance of this essay but it is more important than
transcript.
Statement of Purpose is a statement
about you, your academic interests and your plans for future. It is the only
part of your application packet over which you have full control. It is a
chance to make you exceptional among hundreds of qualified applicants.
High-quality SOP will certainly improve your chances of getting admission,
and even compensate for weaker portions of your application.
For obtaining complete information please
click Statement of Purpose (SOP).
3.
Recommendation Letters
Usually universities ask only graduate
students for Recommendation Letters.
Although grade point averages and English
Exams' scores play a significant role in college or university admissions,
most graduate programs do not base their decisions on numeric scores alone.
Recommendation Letters play important role in your applying process.
The recommendation letters provide a third person’s perspective on the kind
of person you are. They are supposed to help admission committee's members
to get a better picture of your potential.
Your recommendations are important because
they verify your claims and provide the admissions committee an opportunity
to learn more about you from people you have worked closely with.
For obtaining complete information please
click Recommendation Letters.
4.
Curriculum Vitae (Resume)
A curriculum vitae or CV
is an academic resume that highlights your scholarly accomplishments. A good
CV is essential for your success in Applying process. A CV, also
known as a resume, provides the admissions committee with a clear outline of
your accomplishments so they can determine whether you're a good fit with
their program.
The main thing to keep in mind when
preparing a CV is that it will stand in for you during the initial phase of
screening hundreds of applicants. It conveys who you are and what the
graduate program will get if you are chosen.
